Polaris Media adopts Innocode greetings and classified
Polaris Media is one of Scandinavia’s largest regional media groups, with titles across Norway from Svalbard to Stavanger. Managing personal announcements, congratulations and classified ads across dozens of newspapers used to mean exactly what it sounds like: a lot of manual work, every day.
The challenge
Different papers ran different legacy systems for greetings, announcements and classifieds. Each had its own workflows and its own overhead. The operation was difficult to scale and hard to modernize — and the user experience showed it.

The solution
From 2016, Innocode and Polaris built what became FOLK (moments and personal announcements) and TORG (classifieds) - two platforms developed in close collaboration, shaped by real editorial and commercial needs.
The core shift was simple: users now handle it themselves. Readers book, pay and submit through a modern mobile interface. The newspaper's role is to approve the day's posts — once. Everything else, export to ad and publishing systems, billing, distribution, happens automatically.
The results
- 90% reduction in internal resource use
- More than double the number of ad impressions through digital visibility
- 50 Polaris Media newspapers running FOLK and/or TORG today
This is all about modern solutions, good integrations between self-service booking, payment solutions and internal advertising and publishing systems - as well as rational workflow and efficiency. Great products, great support, and a great approach to the future working closely with us as customers. We are very happy!
